Booking Tickets
You have two options for booking your flight to Socotra:
Option 1: Direct Flight from Abu Dhabi to Socotra
To book your tickets from Abu Dhabi to Socotra, we can connect you with our trusted agency in Abu Dhabi. Unfortunately, online booking is not yet available for all flights.
Option 2: Indirect Flight via Yemenia Airways (Cairo-Aden-Socotra)
Traveling to Socotra:
- Departure: Cairo airport on Saturday night at 22:30 (Egypt time zone).
- Arrival: Aden airport on Sunday morning at 03:00 AM (Yemen time zone).
- Connection: Aden airport to Socotra airport on the same day (Sunday) at 07:00 AM (Yemen time zone).
- Final Arrival: Socotra at 10:00 AM (the flight has one stopover in Mukalla airport, about 50 minutes).
Leaving Socotra:
- Departure: Socotra airport at 11:00 AM (Sunday).
- Arrival: Aden airport at 14:15 (Sunday).
- Connection: Aden airport at 18:00 PM (Yemen time zone) (Sunday).
- Final Arrival: Cairo airport at 20:30 PM (Egypt time zone) (Sunday).
Travel Visa
Obtaining a visa to enter Socotra Island is a crucial step for tourists. That’s why we handle the entire process for you. Get your visa now and pay later. The procedure typically takes a few days, and the visa will be issued by the island authorities a week before your visit. All we need is a photo of your passport, and once the visa is issued, a copy will be emailed to you. For citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council, the visa is free.

When is the best time to plan your visit to Socotra?
If you are thinking about coming to Socotra Island, October to May is the best season to visit:
- October to December: Wet season with warm weather, suitable for hiking and mountain activities.
- January to February: Dry season with excellent weather and green landscape, suitable for mountain and sea activities like snorkeling and diving.
- March to May: Dry season with warm weather and very calm sea great for sea activities like snorkeling and diving.
- June to September: Very windy and hot; you are not recommended to visit unless you have a specific interest in paragliding or watching turtles hatch on the beaches (July)
